Unit 2 - Basics of Nutrition 1

Taking a closer look at key nutrients, the second unit discusses the functions and benefits of different types of carbohydrates.  Sources of protein and their effects on the body are also discussed, along with the body’s reliance on sufficient daily fibre intake and the differences between various types of dietary fats.

Unit 3 - Basics of Nutrition 2

Unit 12 - Weight Control Management

Candidates are then introduced to the concept of maintaining a ‘healthy’ weight, which is inherently different from one person to the next.  The capacity for our daily diets to help or hinder weight management is discussed, along with useful tips and techniques for more effective and consistent weight management.

Unit 13 - Weight Loss Management
