An introduction to transportation and logistics within the hospitality sector, covering key transportation methods and the potential pros and cons of various forms of transport.
Unit 14 - The Importance of Customer Feedback
Presents learners with the various tools, techniques and activities that can be used to encourage customer feedback, along with how to make the best possible use of the data collected.
Unit 15 – The Importance of Effective Communication
Discusses communication as the cornerstone of all effective business activities, highlighting the components and characteristics of an effective hospitality communication strategy.
Unit 16 - Quality Management
Introduces the concepts of star ratings and grading bands, along with the “Five Dimensions of Service” model and the statutory obligations all hotel businesses must comply with.
Unit 17 - Marketing and Advertising
Includes a detailed breakdown of the high-impact hospitality marketing plan, an introduction to primary/secondary levels of demand and the differences between marketing, advertising and promotion.
Unit 18 - Managing Interdepartmental Communications
A look at the interdependence of all major hotel departments on each other, along with the importance of close collaborative efforts by way of strategic and seamless communication.
Unit 19 - Accounting in Hospitality
Covers key accountancy and finance tasks in a hospitality environment, introducing candidates to several major financial documents and the use of profit and loss accounts.
